Nurturing Impact: How to sustain development of industry-focused projects
Date and time
Location
Lecture room 1.11 and Atrium Level 1
Merchant Venturers Building Woodland Road University of Bristol BS8 United KingdomDescription
The recent impact audit showed that academics from across the University are engaged in developing the impact of their research, but lack of continuous translational funding can impede progress.
How do we sustain the pathway to impact with piecemeal funding sources? What tools and resources are available to ensure we can continue the journey toward impact? What does this journey look like? In particular, how can industrial partners support this journey?
You are invited to join us for insightful talks and practical advice from University and industry speakers including:
- Dr Michele Barbour – Senior Lecturer Biomaterials, School of Oral & Dental Sciences
- Dr Tom Scott – Royal Academy Senior Research Fellow, School of Physics
- Dr Peter Gist – Fellow/Director, Arup
- Simon McIntosh-Smith – Business Fellow, Engineering Faculty
Refreshments and lunch (Vegetarian and non-Vegetarian options) will be provided. Do contact us if you have any specific requirements. Please RSVP by Friday 3rd June for catering purposes.
